In the pink

Sustainable soft drinks producer, Marlish Waters, is expanding its range of canned-at-source spring waters, with the launch of Marlish Sparkling Pink Grapefruit.

It is low in calories (7 kCal per can), but packed full of flavour, Marlish Sparkling Pink Grapefruit Spring Water combines the finest pink grapefruit extracts and oils with Marlish’s Spring Water, to create a sharp, clean and very refreshing drink.

Marlish Pink Grapefruit, which is free from artificial flavours and preservatives, delivers a rounded level of sweetness that is counterbalanced with the distinctive acidity of pink grapefruit segment.

Commenting in the new flavour, Joe Evans, co-founder & director at Marish Waters, said: “We are incredibly excited to be launching the latest addition to our spring water range: Sparkling Pink Grapefruit.

“With the soft drinks category continuing to enjoy an increase in demand as more and more consumers choose to reduce their alcohol intake, it’s more important than ever that people are offered a choice beyond the usual sugar and calorie-laden regulars you see in the fridges.

“By extending our range of flavoured spring waters to include the delicious new Pink Grapefruit, we’re hoping to do exactly that – bring a new and exciting flavour to the table, that doesn’t compromise on taste but also doesn’t compromise any health goals.”

Packaged and produced at source on Marlish Farm – a family farm near Morpeth is set in the rolling hills of Northumberland – Marlish Sparkling Pink Grapefruit joins the brand’s line up of existing flavoured spring waters, Sicilian Lemon, Raspberry, Brazilian Orange and Elderflower, along with its range of still and sparkling spring water and tonics and mixers.

Marlish Water was founded in 2013, by cousins Joe and Elizabeth, who discovered an incredibly pure and unique underground spring water source on their working farm near Morpeth. Over the years the company has developed a range of sugar free, plastic free, low calorie and free from artificial preservatives range of tonics, mixers and sparkling waters.

Their range is sustainably produced at source using their water that takes over 150 years to slowly filter through the rock and mineral strata; it is a completely sustainable resource which is naturally replenished by rainwater then bottled and packaged at source to reduce the company’s environmental footprint. Marlish is proud to have an ever-growing tree planting programme and uses 100% renewable energy for the production of its drinks.
