Hidden Sea reveals RTD spritz range

The Hidden Sea has just launched a new ready-to-drink (RTD) range comprising Spritz Rosé and Spritz Pinot Grigio, available in cans across the UK. The new range will join its wider range of vegan wines, including a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rosé, Shiraz and Red Blend – in a drive to actively remove plastic from the world’s oceans.

Championed by UK distributor, Kingsland Drinks, the recyclable cans have been crafted with The Hidden Sea’s core consumers in mind. The new range has been launched in response to the growing demand for premium RTD products.

The Spritz Rosé is pastel pink, with aromas of soft, juicy peach flesh and confectionery notes, with red berries and hints of florals and creaminess supported by zesty tones. The Spritz Pinot Grigio’s colour is clear with hint of green and has the fresh character of green apples, lemon zest and lime cordial on the nose. It offers an effervescent and expressive palate where the bubbles leave a flavoursome finish with crisp fresh characters of pear and pineapple with subtle hints of honey.

Since launching in the UK in 2021, The Hidden Sea’s co-founders, Australian football star-turned winemaker, Richie Vandenberg, and eco-conscious entrepreneur, Justin Moran, have enjoyed success for its range of wines with listings in Sainsbury’s, Asda, Co-op and Booths, as well as through the delivery-app GETIR.

Commenting on the new range, Justin Moran, co-founder of The Hidden Sea, said: “The Hidden Sea’s move into the canned wine market offers retailers the option to stock a premium, delicious product for a demographic that is buying into the sector and want responsible brands. The spritz cans will play a vital role in our goal to remove plastic from the ocean.”

Pete Fairclough, Senior Brand Manager at Kingsland Drinks, added: “The Hidden Sea’s move into the RTD sector is a natural evolution for the brand, which lends itself perfectly to consumer thirst for quality, canned drinks and brands that exist for something bigger than themselves. We’re focused on securing retail listings for the Spritz Rosé and Spritz Pinot Grigio and engaging consumers with The Hidden Sea’s compelling ethos.”
