A popular local event organised by four artisan businesses in Leamington Spa, including two breweries and a distillery, is to take place every month through the spring and summer, to celebrate the historic part of their town.
The events, branded as Arches Day, are free to attend and include live musicians and DJ sets, with street food supplied by Nico’s Pizza and Warwick Street Kitchen.
The Arches have been home to Warwickshire Gin Company, run by Dave Blick, for six years.
The award-winning hand-crafted drinks range of five gins and a rum and vodka recipe, are all inspired by historical events, with two more rums soon to launch. They also offer gin tasting experiences.
Commenting on the events, Dave said: “It’s great to see that word is getting around about this event and that it’s becoming a more regular fixture in the calendar.
It really is a fun family day that also supports some great small businesses in this part of town, which many people still don’t know about.”
Windmill Hill Brewing Company was established six years ago by friends Gavin Leach and Rob Singleton who now brew and sell award-winning seasonal and limited-edition craft ales.
The newest tenant at The Arches is BRUBL Beer, run by Nathan Barnes, who moved in after building the business, which started life in a home-built garden shed during lockdown.
BRUBL continues to add to its wide range of ales, from an easy-drinking IPA, ‘Highway to Hop’ 4.3% ABV, to the luxurious, deliciously dark ‘Baltic Smoked Porter’ 7.6% ABV.
The next event will take place on 6 April, which has been organised by four of the businesses that are based at The Arches on Victoria Business Park in Leamington Spa – Windmill Hill Brewing Company, BRUBL Beer, Warwickshire Gin Company, Southbound Café Bar and their sister company, Vice Motorcycles.
The events run between 1-10pm and tickets can be booked by searching for Off The Rails on Eventbrite.
