Maverick west Wales distillery, In the Welsh Wind, has been crafting award-winning spirits since January 2018.

Respectful of tradition, but not constrained by it, the team started out distilling for other businesses and are proud to include nationally and internationally acclaimed gins in their drinks cabinet. Their own In the Welsh Wind Signature Style gin, launched in July 2020, is also award winning.

Alongside gin, In the Welsh Wind is excited to be developing the first fully ‘grain-to-glass’ Welsh whisky for over 120 years. Using barley grown in fields close to the distillery, the team will malt, ferment and distil on the Ceredigion coast, where the precious casks will then mature until ready to enjoy.

The distillery was the first in Wales to offer gin making experiences and the team has pioneered an online ‘Tailor Your Gin’ service. Visitors are welcome, circumstances allowing, at In the Welsh Wind.
