Shortcross Gin
Ireland's most awarded gin

Fiona and David Boyd-Armstrong built Northern Ireland’s first craft distillery in 2013. It was Fiona’s passion to rekindle the lost art of distilling in Ireland that transported them on their distillery journey.

Shortcross Gin takes its name from their local village Crossgar, which in Gaelic translates to: “An Chrois Ghearr” or the Shortcross. They are proud to have their small village name on each and every bottle they distil. Shortcross is inspired by their surroundings, the distillery is located next to the magnificent Ballynahinch River amidst the roiling green hills and dense forests of County Down, their distillery setting is truly magical.

They forage elderflowers, elderberries, wild clover and apples from their gardens and forests. They use water from their historic estate well and slowly distil on their bespoke copper pot stills.
