Launched in our Garden Shed in 2016, Shed 1 Distillery is Cumbria’s multi award-winning micro distillery. We’re a husband and wife team, Andy and Zoe Arnold-Bennett, producing small batch, classically distilled with a contemporary-style, artisan gin. 

Cuckold’s Revenge was the first Gin we created. It’s received a Great Taste Award, a Crafdi Award and is featured in the latest edition of “101 Gins To Try Before You Die”. As well as awards for our gins, our distillery won an accolade close to our hearts and our ethos: The Gin Guide’s (Small Producer) Environmental & Sustainability Winner, 2020.

We moved to The Old Calf Shed in 2019 and with the bigger premises, we’ve been able to create a visitor bar/space. Here we offer Cumbria’s only Make Your Own Gin Experiences. Also, for those Gin Lovers ready to tie the knot, we are a Wedding Venue!
