Launched in 2024 by London-based entrepreneur, Pascal Du Bois, Robot Organic Honey Cola Kombucha, has been positioned as what we would argue is probably the healthiest cola in the world.
Since launching, Robot Kombucha – which took Pascal and his team several years to develop and perfect – has won numerous awards and has a growing customer base.
Pascal has been keen to develop relationships with like-minded companies, who share a passion for the environment and sustainability, and whose products promote good health.
The latest tie-up is with Zarela Kanter, the owner of Quinoa Arepa Restaurants, a former Machu Picchu guide who has brought the cuisine of Peru to London.
Southfields in south-west London, is the location for the brand’s new restaurant, which is already very popular with local residents, who are enjoying healthy, sustainable and authentic South American dishes.
Zarela Kanter is a remarkable entrepreneur whose journey from the mountains of Peru to the capital is every bit as inspiring as the food she serves.
Long before opening restaurants in London, Zarela worked in Peru as a guide and porter on the famous trails surrounding Machu Picchu, carrying heavy backpacks through the Andes and helping visitors experience one of the world’s most iconic destinations.
Since moving to England in 2005, where she met her English husband, Zarela has dedicated herself to sharing the food, culture and sustainability values that have shaped her life.
Today, she is recognised for her commitment to nutrition, sustainability and environmentally conscious food production.
Her first restaurant, opposite Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth, built a loyal following for its fresh Peruvian-inspired dishes and focus on wholesome ingredients.
Now, Southfields residents can enjoy the same delicious food, underpinned by her award-winning philosophy.
The new Quinoa Arepa restaurant celebrates one of South America’s most important superfoods – quinoa – alongside traditional arepas, fresh salads, slow-cooked meats, vibrant vegetables and authentic Peruvian flavours.
Zarela has long championed sustainable food systems and works hard to source locally grown produce
wherever possible, while incorporating organic ingredients throughout her menu.
Her philosophy is simple: delicious food should also be good for people and good for the planet – a philosophy that echoes that of the founder of Robot Kombucha.
In setting up Quinoa Arepa, Zarela wants people to: “Enjoy food that nourishes them, supports local producers and celebrates the rich traditions of Peru.”
We have previously sampled Robot Kombucha, which we rated very highly, but haven’t yet has the chance to taste what sounds like food that not only tastes great, but also is good for you.
