Manatii was born in 2021, in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian that hit the Caribbean in 2019.

We wanted to steer away from the clichés often associated with rum and instead celebrate the vibrancy of the Caribbean.

Thus, Manatii was formed. With colourful, fun branding and a deliciously smooth taste, we are here to shake up and inject a new lease of life into the rum climate.

We are a small team, founded by siblings Tom and Emma, and friends CJ and Mattia. Together, we are passionate not only about shaking up the rum market but also helping communities across Caribbean countries re-build in the aftermath of natural disasters which have devastating effects on those who call the islands home.

As we grow and develop, we are committed to increasing our support for those communities, but from the outset £2 from the sale of every bottle is donated directly to local charities working to recover impacted areas and provide permanent solutions against natural disasters.

At the moment we have two amazing rums:

Manatii Dark Rum
Our initial release is our signature product, Manatii Dark Rum ‘Hope Town’ batch. UK distilled but Caribbean-styled, the rum won one star at the Great Taste Award in 2024, with feedback from the judges:

“Lovely glistening caramel in colour; very authentic rum notes on the nose; clean, fresh and balanced with muscovado and hints of mango and banana. The flavours are authentic, with a satisfying burn on the finish.”

Manatii has also been featured in the Grocer, Sheerluxe, Country Town & House and reviewed by Hand Crafted Drinks Magazine, to name a few. The product is listed with Venus Wine and Spirit Merchants, as well as South Down Cellars.

Manatii Mini Trio
We have a mini trio set that comprises three 50ml bottles: classic dark rum, a white rum and an exotic mango, lime and papaya rum. They are uniquely presented in cigarette-style packaging.

There are plans to launch the mango, lime and papaya rum in the near future.
