Robot Cola achieves B Corp status

The company behind the award-winning Robot Kombucha Organic Honey Cola, Net Zero Foods, has officially become a Certified B Corporation (B Corp).

Pascal du Bois, the founder of Net Zero Foods, developed Robot Cola to not only become the healthiest cola, but to run a company that also does good for communities and the planet.

The process to become B Corp certified is rigorous, which examines every aspect of a company’s operation to ensure they meet the strict requirements of the organisation that confers certification, B Lab, which is a: “non-profit network transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities and the planet”.

As Pascal du Bois explains, the philosophy that underpins his business perfectly aligns with B Lab’s aims objectives: “B Lab wants to encourage businesses to be a force for good, which was my main motivation when I launched Net Zero Foods.

“For too long, so many food and drinks manufacturers have been putting profit before health and we have epidemic levels of obesity across the western world, where the food conglomerates dominate.

“Robot Cola, on the other hand, was developed to taste good, to be healthy, minimise our impact on the planet and to be a force for good, which is why I am delighted, privileged and honoured to have achieves B Corp status.”

Whilst the B Corp status demonstrates a company-wide commitment to the environment and the community in which they operate, the product has to taste good and to deliver on its promise of delivering health benefits for the consumer.

The good news for Robot Cola, which we have sampled several times (and were extremely impressed with) has won many awards, including recent success at the 2025 Great Taste awards. Robot Cola is not only being hailed as the world’s healthiest cola, but is also the most advanced kombucha on the shelf, thanks to its pioneering use of postbiotic technology.

Probiotics and prebiotics, now the focus of health-conscious consumers, have been joined by a new concept: postbiotics.

These bioactive compounds, created during the fermentation process (of in this case Robot Kombucha), represent a breakthrough in understanding how we can enhance gut health and overall wellbeing.

While probiotics are live bacteria that can benefit the gut microbiome, and prebiotics are the fibres and compounds that feed these bacteria, (as in the organic honey used in Robot Kombucha), postbiotics are the ‘metabolic by-products’ that emerge from the fermentation process.

These compounds, including organic acids, enzymes, peptides and antioxidants, have powerful biological effects even after the bacteria that produced them are no longer active.

They have been found to help reduce inflammation, regulate immune function and maintain a balanced gut environment.

Unlike probiotics, which can be sensitive to heat and stomach acids, postbiotics remain stable, delivering consistent benefits for health and wellbeing once ingested.

Harnessing the power of AI, Pascal and his team designed a fermentation process that maximises the production and stability of these postbiotic compounds. This technological innovation, combined with a carefully curated mix of 14 bacterial strains and four yeast strains, sets Robot Kombucha apart – they are the first true postbiotic powerhouse in the beverage industry.

Robot Kombucha ‘cola’ is flavoured with 14 hand-selected organic botanicals, including kola nut, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger root, clove, vanilla and citrus zest, all chosen for their natural synergy and digestive benefits.

The only sweetener is raw organic honey, which not only adds subtle natural sweetness but also functions as a prebiotic, feeding the beneficial bacteria and enhancing the production of postbiotic compounds.

What makes Robot unique is not just the presence of various microbial strains, but the postbiotic compounds they produce during the fermentation process, which persist in the final beverage, continuing to support gut health even after consumption.

They strengthen the intestinal barrier, reduce harmful bacteria, promote healthy pH levels in the gut and provide antioxidant protection against cellular damage.

The global health crisis driven by poor diet, excess sugar, chemical pesticides in farming and synthetic additives has highlighted the urgent need for alternatives like Robot Kombucha.

Diabetes, obesity, liver disease and gut microbiome collapse, as well as the loss of biodiversity, the loss of bee colonies and other essential pollinators, are just some of the human costs, while plastic pollution continues to devastate ecosystems.

No other kombucha on the market matches this level of complexity or effectiveness and it is no exaggeration to say that Robot Kombucha is setting the standard for what a modern, health-focused cola should be — a drink that heals rather than harms, which supports the gut rather than destroying it, and that delivers both pleasure and purpose with every serving.
